CALL TO ACTION

Each morning check http://www.nationallibertyalliance.org/call-action

to learn who you need to call immediately,

then, make the calls between 9 am and 4 pm.

We do not have a call to action this week, but keep checking as they can pop up after the newsletter is sent. To see the changes you can make by participating in Courtroom Observers read Thomas’s experience below.

I made it yesterday to the court for the Giwa hearing.  They were incredibly grateful!
This was my first time doing a court observation and I thought it went well and beyond my expectations.
I arrived early dressed in suit and tie and with legal pad in hand--meeting and consulting with the family, supporters, and lawyer Corey Booth.
After, I quietly sat in the back of the court room apart from the Giwa party, took a few note entries from time to time,
read some law material, occasionally going out in the hall to talk with the Giwas.
Had lunch together all of us and found out about every one's connection with the case and
their own sad stories (especially the lawyer's) about CPS.
Entering the court in the afternoon I assumed the same position in the back, later, one of the prosecuting attorneys approached me and I paraphrase:
So are you with one of the cases here, are you an attorney?  You've been sitting there all day writing.
I replied casually and said, no, I'm just watching.  He nervously smiled and walked away
Later in the day, one of the supporters said the judge probably sent the prosecutor there to find out who I was.
Also two of the supporters and the Giwas said they had never seen this Judge Phillips to be as cordial and taking more time to hear the defenses' side (and releasing as many children in one day)  And he did release the Giwa's 2 daughters after seeing  the lack of evidence from CPS (although I believe the case may still be open and the Giwas must tread ever so lightly)
He moved the case of the baby son to the Giwas' home county of Fort Bend...I sensed he was glad to get that case off the docket. So many more details and events that happened that day, very rewarding to me, made new friends, promoted NLA, linked with the Giwas as a base to organize, support, and to expand NLA, after we met with Randy Wallace (great guy--a true investigative reporter) of Fox 26 news Houston at the studio and did interviews--aired that night.
All in all a very rewarding experience for my first time.
Now I am committed to do more phone calls to the cases I cannot attend.
